You should receive a complete data set - not just the DWG drawing (for transmittal set use the eTransmit function).
SHP files are often used for linetype definitions so can redefine/remove the complaining linetypes.

Hello all,
New CAD-Map3D user here.
I've been given a .dwg file that contains a reference to an additional data file (shape or .shp) that, when I open the .dwg, tries to load the .shp file.
A dialog box appears requesting the location of the .shp file.
How can I remove this reference so it stops asking for the .shp file when I open the .dwg? (see pic)
![]() Thanks!
