Topic: Quick Properties Posted: 23.Jan.2012 at 21:13 |
I am having issue with Quick Properties. I have an XP machine running
2012. I don't see the Quick Properties in the right click even though I
see properties. Also wing I use quick properties from the tool tray at
the bottom or type the command I get the box but when I select an object
the field does not populate. it stays blank. Any one have any ideas
why?

Has it always worked this way or did it work at one time but not now?
Have you been doing any customization of the CUIx?
You could try a REPAIR of the installation.

Not sure if it was working before. Will ask that drafter. I was thinking about a reinstall but maybe a repair would be better. Thanks

An uninstall / reinstall should always be the last option on your list of things to do to solve a problem. Why? Well sometimes this process creates more problems than it solves.

Have you customized any of the object types in the CUI? To specify the information you want displayed for the numerous selectable objects? When the QUICK PROPERTIES palette displays are you able to right click in either of the margins, to access the customization feature? If not, then open your CUI, click on MENUS quick properties, and see what if anything is selected, or just specify your display options for a particular object type, apply, then go back and try it again, see if it will populate when you select an object of that type. Also confirm that DISPLAY QUICK PROPERTIES is checked in your DRAFTING SETTINGS options, on the QUICK PROPERTIES tab. I'd be lost without my quick properties, always run it.
I believe that your QPMODE variable may be incorrectly set . Enter QPMODE at the commandline and reset the value to 1 .
