Suddenly little blue grips and constraints are showing up all over my drawing (acad 2011). They get in the way... what are they for?? I read the Contraints overview..but, sorry, I didn't get it. Ouch

You have constraints enabled.

Type: _constraintinfer at the command line and make sure it is set to "0".

Or..............

Look in the Tray at the bottom of your screen.  Lower left hand corner.  The first icon/button should be for INFER.  Toggle it off.

Another question....how do I MOVE that tray. Whenever I go to toggle ortho or snapmode, all the other windows that I have open jump up in front of the tray. Drives me nuts.

Move the tray?  What other windows are you talking about?  You mean other programs running in the background that you access from time to time?

I've used AutoCAD for quite a while and never had the urge to move the tray.
