Hi,

I have got a drawing of my company's layout, which is consists of layers.

I am trying to add few items to the layout, but I can't!

What I have to do to make Autocad 2013 accept my drawing commands!

Luke

Are you getting error messages?

What items are you trying to add and how are you trying to add them?

Is this a company template file (DWT)?

You really need to expand your vocabulary and explain the problem in more detail.  If you're not more specific there isn't much anyone here or anywhere else is going to be able to do for you.  No one has a lot of time to waste guessing at what you're looking at.

If English is not your native language perhaps you'll be more comfortable in something else.  If that's the case, simply type your question here in the language you can be most descriptive in and someone may come to your rescue that way.

Modify how?  Draw some lines?  Delete, move, copy, rotate some objects?  Add some text or dimensions?  Create a new layout and add a viewport?

You failed to answer most if not all of my previous questions.

Does this drawing already contain lines etc or is it blank.

You say it has layers in the file are these turned off or frozen this could a reason nothing is showing up. Try creating a new layer and adding line to see if that works also check the status of the existing layers.

No error messages!

Well, here is the situation: It's our company's layout, It's been made by Layers, what I did first, I exploded the drawing, then I started adding some new details, like new production lines! and I figured out there are some other items I have to remove it because its not exist anymore!

I can delete whatever I want, but I cant redraw anything to add to the drawing!

Thank you for your answers and your help.

I've turned off some and kept the other layers because I need them, they are related to add/remove modifications.

The file isn't empty, it's a company layout, consist of departments!

I used the command Explode, to be able to edit the drawing, but still not working!

Maybe the layers are locked.

It is never a good idea to just start "exploding" things in AutoCAD.

Can you post a copy of the drawing file itself so we can have a look at it?  An image file won't do.
