Hello!
I hope you can help me. I have a recurring problem with my Mtext Editor (AutoCAD 2007) - It always reverts back to a 270 deg. rotation. For example, every time I go to edit an existing text (shown at 0 deg), it rotates 270. If I go ahead and make the changes in that format, it stays that way when I am done. I have to go to Properties to change the rotation back to zero. Very frustrating! FYI - The same thing happens with new text - the cursor used to create the text box has the "abc" shown at 270 deg and creates the text sideways. None of this makes for efficiency... Thanks in advance for your help! _popupControl(); |

Thank you. My UCS is set to "World", Top 0'-0". I also went into Units Format and made sure that the direction was set to base angle East (0.00). Still no permanent change to the MText orientation of 270 deg. (Oddly, it occasionally works correctly but not ever on a permanent basis.)
So... help is still needed. Thanks! _popupControl(); |

I had already checked that and it was set to the default of 2... I just tried it at 1 and that worked, but text was too small in the editor. When I switched it back to 2, something happened and now the Editor does not appear when you create the text box with the cursor. There is a pause, then nothing. Yikes! Is there something else in that I should be looking at? I'm going close AutoCAD and re-boot my computer to see if that helps...
Thank you for your comments thus far! _popupControl(); |

I went into MTEXTED and changed it from "internal" to "oldeditor". It works again, but is still ends up at 270 deg. I tried changing it back to "internal", but the command does not go through anymore at all. I'll try a cold boot and see if that helps._popupControl();

Try to select a different font in the STYLE settings for your texts. You can also edit the text with DDEDIT.
