Let me guess.

You have a drawing that is causing you some problems.

You may or may not be getting "out of memory" errors.

The drawing may be sluggish, cause an error or lock up AutoCAD.

You tried purging it but it did not fix the problem.

Unfortunately I don't speak your language.

Does anything I wrote above mean something to you?

Can you upload the drawing so we can take a look at it?

Olá, eu estou fazendo a tradução em inglês :
I have a .dwg.
I took out a lot of details, plans, etc.
I did a PURGE and it still is big.
What did I do for that .dwg consuming a lot of memory ?

Run the command line version of the PURGE command which looks like this: -PURGE.  You must include the dash.

Purge REGAPPS first.

Run the command a second time.

Purge using the ALL option.

Run the AUDIT command.  Tell AutoCAD to fix any errors it might find.

Save the drawing.

Repeat the process one more time.  Don't forget to use -PURGE.

After the second save has the file size decreased?  Yes or no?

Did you use any objects (linetypes, text, etc.) from a Microstation drawing in your drawing?  Yes or no?

Follow the directions I gave previously.  If that does not work then here are two more options.

1) DXFOUT the drawing.  Open a new drawing and use DXFIN to bring the file back into AutoCAD as a drawing.  Save it under a new name.  Is the file size smaller?  Yes or no?

2) WBlock out all the objects you can see.  Open a new drawing and use the INSERT command to bring the block into your drawing.  Save the drawing.  Is the file size smaller?  Yes or no?

Philippe: What the hell are you talking about?  Please be cool?  Now what did I say wrong?  I gave him a ton of advice and you want me to be cool?  OK....sure.  You him him with the problem while I be cool.  I'll go get some ice right now.  And a fan.  Maybe even an air conditioner while I am at it.

John, We thank you all for that millions of helps that you give.
CELSO SOUSA doesn't speak english and is only 12 years younger than miketyson.
The actions that you give for him to do are difficult is he doesn't knows AutoCAD very well.
I too don't know everything like you do.
Again, thanks for all your usefull informations and helps.

The OP's age has nothing to do with the problem.

Yes, language, for me, is a barrier.

Users should follow the steps I outlined and/or answer the questions that have been asked if they hope to solve their problem.  It's as simple as that.
