I'm here for more help...  I would like to insert one drawing into another (ie:  louver drawings done by the vendor into my set of shop drawings for the glass/glazing).  I know that I can attach their drawing to mine as an xref, but I'm at a loss to understand how I can transfer the layout (paper space) sheets, with viewports intact, as well.  Is this even possible?

Your input will be much appreciated.  Thanks!

As Xref is possible join only model space. Paper space is possible export and import into the other drawings by Layouts manager (Paper space manager) - Right click on bookmar Layout....

Thank you - I will try that.

How are things in the Czech Republic?  I am half Bohemian (my father's parents came to the US from Bohemia).  I look forward to someday visiting the Czech Republic - I hear it is a beautiful country!

Thanks again!

I live near Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA.  Where are you in the UK?  I worked in England (Tring, Hertfordshire) for about two months, but that was a long time ago.  I've also been to Scotland several times to visit family.  Both lovely countries. _popupControl();

There is some information about my graduation (nothing special):

ISCED 5A         Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Technology in Brno
                        Specialization: Building Constructions – Building Constructions Design,
Diploma thesis: Residential Building Kasarna in Uherske Hradiste,

PS: I supposed this topic is about Xref, not about you and me LOL.

No apologies necessary...

Sorry about the personal stuff...   I'm self-employed and don't get out much Wink.  I just find other people and their stories interesting, I guess.  I hope I don't get in trouble with CADforum!

You should check out one of my clients... he's always looking for engineers (and he's truly multinational!).  See stutzkiengineering.com and/or Google Christian Stutzki or Stutzki Engineering, Inc.
