Hi, wondering if anyone can help me on here. I'm using AutoCAD 2008 Architecture and want to put a window into a roof slab, is this possible? I have already cut the opening for it to go into but cant get the window (from the catalogue) in the space as they only go into walls. Is there a setting that i need to change in order for me to get it to work?

Thanks

Hi!

Maybe this would work....

Put a window into a wall with the right dimensions.Select the window and right click and choose WALL  ANCHOR, and RELEASE it.

Change your UCS so you see the window from the side, rotate it to your roof angle, and then move it into place in your roof.

Thanks for the responses. I think i've managed to do it but doing basically what Tobias said, although I had to cut a hole in the roof slab to the dimension of the window. I then put a node into one of the corners and then moved the window into position snapping to the node!

Thanks again, most appreciated!
