Hello,
I think it's too much too start somebody to tell here everything about XREF s but in a few words I will try to explaine. ![]() You can use x-ref's when you have deferent fases of the project and let's say at the last one you want allmost everything from a previous fase and something to change.In xref you can turn off some layers and to draw somethign else. in the new drawing (like diferent versions). Or you can use xref's for the stamp of the project (company name, the engineers that worked in the project , etc) and if you put the file that is used on a server everyone can used from that location. You must find the way of working with the xrefs. Ideea is to have under your grawing something to help you. From xrefs you can copy in your drawing lines and circles in the same position, etc. Good luck |

hey asli.dost if use xref as well....if you want to edit the xref because xref its blocks.....use command refedit to edit the block reference.

When x_reffing a drawing into another make sure it is set to overlay as opposed to attached. Makes for a smaller drawing size and easier to work with. I hope this helps.
