Topic: LT problemPosted: 12.Sep.2009 at 01:11 |

I am having a problem with linetypes in one drawing.
Whenever I change the linetypes with words in them, the words shrink and go off-center. Changing the LT scale does nothing. It only happens in this drawing and no other.
If the LT I want to change is in a xref for example, i can detach and re-attach the dwg and the linetypes appear right. As soon as i try to load a different linetype it goes back to the shrunken type.
I've tried copying lines thats look correct into this drawing and the pasted line goes to the shrunken type.
Has anyone had this problem before?

check the text style the linetype is using, sounds like the text style in the drawing has a height and this is causing the text style in the linetype to shrink to that height. Set the style height to 0 and try reloading again. |

Texts in linetypes are referred through STYLES - if you have a different text style defined in your drawing, the text will look differently.

Thank you. I never knew the text style affected linetypes. I set the height to 0, and it fixed the problem.
