I have a number of drawings; model space, layer 1, layer 2.

Layer 1 and layer 2 are identical.

How can I delete layer 2 since it isn't required?

To clarify, you are refering to LAYERS and not PS tabs Layout1 Layout2, etc?

To delete layers, the slow way would be to use Layiso to isolate the layer, then select all & erase, then purge the layer.

Well, Layers vs. PS tabs? Don't have a clue.

Guess I can live with what I have; model, layer 1, layer 2.
Or, so it says at the bottom of my CAD '05 screen.

I was thinking, "Why do I need layer 2 or any layer, I draw all in model space."  Just an old dog but, works for my purposes.

You are confusing me with your terminology..
you say tabs at bottom of screen- they usually say "Model Layout1 Layout" (not layers, which are an entirely differrent thing)

You can delete Layout2 by right-clicking then select delete.
You can't delete Layout1, as one must remain.

Yes you can draw all in Modelspace; some can't live without Layouts space.

Guess I was confused (or just didn't know).

I did a right click and deleted Layout2, kept Layout1.

Excellent! Thank you!
