In earlier versions you could resize this box when open, now in 2008 you can't, or at least I can't. Does anybody know a way to unlock this or are having the same problem. Maybe resize the box in the menu, if I knew which one was controlling it.

pick the frame of the viewport, right click, pick unlock...
