We are dimensioning in paper space, and have set the dimassoc variable to 2. when working on the drawing at intermitten times the dimensions go crazy shooting out into space. all dimension are snapped to the objects in model space but this seems not to matter. HELP!

Hi,

It may be because of the viewport is not locked. Lock the viewport after setting desired scale and check whether it works?

Hope it helps you.

I have found that when you dimension in paperspace something that is in model space even though you snap the dimension to specific points it is still not connected to that object.  It is better to dimension in model space where your objects are located.  Think of it as trying to snap dimensions thru a picture frame things below the glass are not associated to things above the glass.

I think you'll just have to put up with it then!
