Topic: Global dimension style (possible?) Posted: 17.Jun.2009 at 08:33
Hello I work on AutoCad 2007LT. In my drawings I put dimensions in MODEL area. Often I adapt old drawings where dimension style is not correct for me. Is it possible to save dimension style in file, "call" them in adapted drawing and replace old style with mine?
I just know this, you can drag your dimension into AutoCAD tool palette and use it when necessary.
Enter TOOLPALETTES in command line. Drag your dimension into the tool palette, you will now find a new 'Liner Dimension' added in your tools. You can give it a name, and next time when you need a same style dimension, you can use this illustration.

You can also use design center to drag dimension styles, layers, blocks, text, ect... from one drawing to another. If AutoCAD LT has that. I am not sure. Best thing to do is have a template drawing set up.
