Hi

in autocad 2010,

all my filename are long (more than 35 caracters) , so each time
i have to open a drawing, i have to strecth the name column to
see completly the filename.

is it a way to save the column width or telling autocad or vista
to stretch the column to fit the name.

best regards

Luc

In Acad, I dont know if you can...if so, let me know!
In vista, the best I have found is to go into file explore, computer, click on Organize, scroll down to folder and search options, and set whatcha want.
But it dosent always work. What you set up today and now may not be there tomarrow...guess thats why they came out with windows 7 Angry
microsoft bastards....

Thank you for your help

In all vista dialog box, the setup is keeped.
Only in the dialog box use inside autocad are not working the same way.

Autocad support team said to me that all column width are driven by
the operating system.

at the end all dialog box use outside autocad are working good,
and all box in autocad are not working as i want.

Luc

ps: one workstation is running window 7 and autocad 2010, and it look
that the situation are the same.

Freakin microsoft, leave it to them to not fix a dang thing, then re-package an OS under a different name and sell at a premium every few years.
So its driven by the OS? Did they tell you how to do anything to fix it rather than why it wont work?
