Connect points by a list of point numbers - PoNum.

Using the freeware utility PoNum, you can connect points by entering a list or interval of point (block) numbers, similar to the transparent 'PN' function in Civil 3D.

Download the PoNum application from Download, load it into AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT using APPLOAD. Run it for the first time in a given session by entering the PONUM command - this allow to select a block and its attribute representing the point and the point number. You can predefine the same initialization with a list, with a LISP variable:

(setq VM:BlockID '("BlockName" "AttName"))

Then you can use the transparent command 'PONUM, wherever and whenever AutoCAD expects a list of coordinates to be entered. E.g. in the PLINE command - to create a polyline.

This list can be specified by an arbitrary combination of a comma-delimted list of point numbers and intervals of from-to. E.g.: 6,15,31-47,66,71-79.
