Q - question

How to remove duplicate points and COGO points from a DWG?

A - answer Double, triple... (duplicate) points imported to an AutoCAD, Map or Civil 3D drawing can be easily purged - you can delete the duplicates with the freeware utility DelDupPts.

Download the LISP application CADstudio DelDupPts from Download, load it into your AutoCAD with APPLOAD and run it by typing the command DELDUPPTS.

This tool selects all objects of the type point (POINT) or COGO-point (AECC_COGO_POINT) from the current drawing and in case that multiple point objects share the same XY- or XYZ-coordinates (you can choose between 2D and 3D check), the surplus points will be deleted and only a single point will be left there.
