Quick 1-/2-click dimensioning in AutoCAD.

A - answer The standard AutoCAD dimension commands prompt not only for the dimensioned geometry but also for the position of the dimension line, which adds one more click.

With a short LISP macro you can dimension simple DWG geometry with a single click, using a fixed dimension line offset, specified by the height of the dimension text.

You can download the DimFixT utility with its DIMFIXT (two-point dimension) and DIMFIXL (line dimension) commands from Download and then load it with APPLOAD. The usage of both new commands saving the number of mouse clicks is illustrated in the video animation:
