Q - question

Steep terrain surface change at a retaining wall.

A - answer When you need a steep, abrupt change in surface elevation in Revit, it is necessary to split the terrain surface at the point of the steep change. The Split surface function can be found on the Massing & Site > Modify Site > Split Surface tab.

The surface needs to be selected in the plan view. After splitting the surface, adjust the elevations of the Surface Boundary points. This allows you to create terrain surfaces with a steep, discontinuous, stepped change in elevation at the retaining wall.
