Q - question

Why is my STL file imported into Inventor 10x smaller?

A - answer As with other imports, the size depends on your choice of units. Interal units used by Inventor are centimeters (cm). "Unitless" model files should be then imported in centimeters. If you choose [mm] on STL import, the resulting model will be 10-times smaller.

So when reading your .STL file (with I > Open > Import CAD files), click on the Options button and choose Centimeter as the units.
