Hello All,

This is my first post here at CADforum, so I would like to introduce myself briefly.  I am a civil engineer (E.I.T.) in his second year of professional work.  I mainly do site/drainage design and use AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013.

Unfortunately my office is a bit behind the times as far as utilizing the features available in Civil 3D and I have been working on implementing a set of pipe network standards to be used across the company.  I have a template working well, but I have noticed one issue that is the reason for this post.  I am noticing that if the cover/slope/etc. rules are violated CAD takes the liberty of adjusting structure inverts.  I have read that there is a way to make a rule a "Violation Only" rule, which will only flag the pipe/structure violating one of the preset rules and not actually modify the pipe/structure invert elevations.  Unfortunately I can't seem to find where in CAD I can set a rule to be "Violation Only" and was wondering if a fellow forum member could provide me with directions to make my pipe rules all "Violation Only".

Thank you all in advance for taking the time to read and respond to my beginner question.
