Hi
I had the same problem a while ago and solved it with attaching attributes to my blocks then creating a template file in order for the attributes to be extracted (ATTEXT) to excel and a simple VCOUNT command counted all the attributes relating to the specific block in excel.

Is BCOUNT not in 2011? Simply use BCount->All then cut an paste from the cmd line. Ta

You can use the
ATTEXT command or the block schedule function in Xanadu LT Extension.

I found this answered by someone for 2007, don't know if anything has changed for 2011...
"Unfortunately with LT you don't have the best tools to accomplish this. You can't use LISP routines, and you don't have the Enhanced Attribute Editor. Your best bet is to use Quick Select. In the Object Type specify: Block Reference, and then on properties select the "Name" option , on operator select equals, then on value select the name of the block you want Hit OK and it should select all the blocks and report how many it found on the command line. Ty  " |

Does autocad 2011 LT. have a block couter option..say if I was to design a plantlist and develope different blocks for different plants and wanted to count them..not by eye, is that possible on autocad 2011LT?
