I'm not sure what is your question but you have 2 methods: dimlinear and dimaligned wich produce different dimensions.
Dimlinear will provide the same results as qdim.
Dimaligned will provide dimensions aligned with the object, i.e. the true dimension of the object
Less is more

Can anybody tell me if there is a command to obtain aligned dimensions of lines, etc. like the quick dimension command that give linear dimension but no aligned.
Any information will be apreciatte.
