Hello All
I have created a template that I give to outsiders who make the final designs, which may sometimes be modified before they take their final form. I want to restrict the possibility that somebody will be able to use ready-made work after the end of our cooperation. My question is the following. It is possible to create the template or the file to work on a given computer and up to an expiration date. Thank you A.V.

I would doubt it. Anyway, if you found a way to do it then someone else could find a way to undo it.

If one can break it, he will not have to take the template, blocks etc we have made, surely he will have better. Anyway, I'm looking for something simple if one is determined to bypass it then let him do it.

Wouldn't you have to know the exact specifications of the "given computer" in order to write an exclusive code?

I doubt you can "expire" a file contents. But you can sign it and prove that some is using it illegally. See DWGsign.

On the expiration date question, there have been several threads about that kind of thing on the AutoCAD Customization Forum. Here is a Search there for just the word "expire," but try some other similar terms. If none of them has a foolproof solution, at least the discussions will show you why it's difficult (or impossible, perhaps). EDIT: That doesn't seem to be working as a hyperlink. Try it this way:
