Hello,
I have a doubt regarding xref's and their path. I have several drawings which are using an external reference on a specific location/path. I would like to know if i can save all these drawings to a cd (files which are using the xref file and the xref file itself) and if they will mantain their relation. Basically i need to put them all in a cd but i m afraid that the reference to the xref file might get lost while burning them... How can i assure that the xref relation doesn't get lost???

Thanx

THX,

But i have for example 30 files, all of them referenced to the same xref file. But if i save each file with etransmite it will generate a folder with an external reference for each one of them. what i need is to have all the 30 files with a single xref file so i can save them all in a cd. How can i do that?????

Jou can use a relative path of the xref - retain only the path from the current drawing directory in the xref dialog, e.g. "drawing1.dwg" as a path instead of "c:/directory1/direcotry2/drawing1.dwg" or you can use dotted form too, e.g. "../elsedirectory/drawing1.dwg".
I know, it's a lot of work on 30 files, but it works without problems then.
I'm sorry for my bad English. Kackac
