recently i haven't been able to access the Object Properties window. I used to select an object, then click the Object Properties icon (the little pointing hand) and a properties window would pop up. lately this is not happening. I can see the OP window is docked to the left with an auto-hide like function. when I move the pointer to the extreme left the OP vertival blue strip repeatedly appears and immediately hides non-stop. nothing else works with it. i can't affect it with any left or right click, nor ctrl+1. i've also renamed fixedprofile.asw but no use. appreciate any ideas.

what virus scanner do you use? if you have McAffee, when you scan it will delete a config file that is used by object properties. It was happening to me. The best thing to do is re-install autocad, and put all autocad files on a safe list within McAffee. Or do what i did and get rid of it.

Yes it is McAffee but I had acad running with it for a long time. can you tell which file it deletes so I may try to copy it back in to see if this would make a difference. thanks
