You can use an automatic text field to display the currently used (applied) plot style table (a .CTB or .STB file) as a text or attribute in your DWG drawing (the name is not stored in a variable).

In the FIELD command dialog, select the category Plot and choose "Plot Style Table" from the field names. You can also just paste the following string into any drawing text:

%<\AcVar PlotStyleTable>%
