Inactive drawing, inactive commands after starting AutoCAD.

After you open any drawing (also a new one), you cannot edit it, pan/zoom it, you cannot type in the command line. Menu icons are not grayed out, commands can be invoked from menu but you cannot execute them interactively - e.g. to pick the first point of a line - neither by clicking nor by typing coordinates, and the invoked command cannot be cancelled. You can only close the drawing or display the the application options dialog. When you login as a different user on the same PC, AutoCAD works normally.

The given user may have set automatic launching of an add-on application displaying a modal dialog (may be also off-screen). Or a license dialog (error) is displayed off screen.

If youo are using a 3D mouse on this computer, try to disconnect it. After you disconnect the 3D mouse and disable its control software, restart AutoCAD. If this helps, restart your PC, reconnect your 3D mouse and perform its recalibration.
