1D-Nesting - cutting optimization for linear material

1D-nest With this free online tool you can optimize the cutting of linear (1-dimensional) parts of specified lengths from a specified range of stock pieces (blanks). You can optimally cut bars, rods, rails, ledges, tubes, beams, band iron, wires, cables, ropes, chains, strips, belts or strips of fabric - so that the resulting waste after cutting is as low as possible. Enter the desired lengths and other default parameters into the form of this cutting optimizer and press the [START] button (window dividers are draggable):

Parameter explanations:
Parts - lengths of the requested products (enter repeated lengths repeatedly, the list can be pasted e.g. from Excel/CAD, Ctrl+C/V)
Stock - lengths of the stock pieces, cuttable scraps
Material length (sticklength) - the default source material (stock) length
Knife width (knifewidth) - cut/shear length
Length of useful scrap (usefulscrap) - lenght of still usable, stocked scrap
Number of iterations (iterations) - max. number of optimization iterations
mutation - step length for tested mutations
random - influence of randomness on optimization
skip - ignore parts shorter than Skip
overmeasure (0/1) - can shorten material?
webWorkers (0/1) - analyze on background?
