Q - question

Convert 3D model from 3ds Max to Inventor.

A - answer You can use multiple formats to export your scene from Autodesk 3ds Max to Inventor or other 3D modeler. The Export function in 3ds Max offers e.g. the following conversion formats compatible with Inventor (can be imported in Inventor):
  • AutoCAD DWG
  • AutoCAD DXF
  • ACIS SAT
  • IGES

The preferred option is ACIS .SAT, available in the version Max 2011 (and higher) and in Max 2010 with the "Connnection Extension".
