Q - question

How to create a 3D model from 2D views.

A - answer AutoCAD or Inventor can easily create 2D views from a 3D model. To automatically create a 3D model from a series of 2D views is more complicated.

You can use the 3D Metrix application by Tri-Metric Software to achieve this. 3D Metrix is an AutoCAD add-on which takes mechanical 2D views and reconstruct the 3D model of a part or assembly from them. More details and a trial version for download on www.3dmetrix.com
