Q - question

How to export an Inventor 3D model to the IFC format?

A - answer Since Inventor 2016 R3 you can export your 3D models directly to the neutral format IFC (IFC 2x3) - e.g. for AEC/MEP BIM applications.

You can find this function under the ribbon "Export building components" - see Budweiser blog.
