The newly added Game Mode (Win+G) in the latest version of Windows 10 may accelerate certain types of Windows applications by assigning them a higher priority of system resources. Is it worth it?

There is indeed a measurable influence of this mode on the performance of CAD software applications, but the performance gain is quite low. The more powerful workstation you use, the lower impact of the game mode you can expect. If you run your 3D CAD on a weak configuration (slow PC), you can increase its performace by a couple of percents (cca 5%). See the setup procedure for the Game Mode in Windows 10 and the subsequent Inventor benchmark test in the blog post Benefits of Windows 10 Game Mode for CAD applications.
