The DIMSTYLE variable in the main versions of AutoCAD:

In AutoCAD since version ≤ R12
Read-only variable

Description of the variable DIMSTYLE:
Contains the current dimension style (do not confuse with the DIMSTYLE command)

You can display or change the value of the DIMSTYLE variable by typing DIMSTYLE on the command line.
