New CAD and GIS tools

We offer many of our utilities as free or shareware CAD tools for download. Recently released or updated CAD utilities:

• SphereUnf - unfold 3D spheres (peels, petals) and 3D cones to 2D shapes
• JobTime - time-tracking reactor - net editing time spent on DWG drawings (edittime)
• TRANS - easy translation of AutoCAD drawing texts - either manual, Trados-assisted (translation memory), or automatic via Google Translate (see YouTube video)
• FLay - force layer for selected commands (drawing objects), AutoCAD LISP reactor
• RoundT - round drawing texts to given number of decimal places
• Click2XLS - export clicked point coordinates to Excel sheets
• Depends - list all file dependencies in the current DWG - xrefs, images, fonts, underlays, etc.
• SlopeTick - draw slope tickmarks (batter lines, hatches) between two polylines
• PreSave reactor - perform selected actions before any Save operation (zoom, layer, purge, preview, saveAs...)

Project Vasari - analysis BIM tool

Based on the Revit kernel, Autodesk Project Vasari is an easy-to-use BIM tool for conceptual modeling and energy analysis of buildings. The new version Vasari 2.1 brings wind tunnel analysis in Ecotect, automatic zoning for energy models and improved performance. The "virtual wind tunnel" tool uses simplified computational fluid dynamics simulation (CFD) to present aerodynamic effects early in the design process.
Project Vasari is available as a free "technology preview" for Windows 32/64-bit.
