New CAD and GIS tools
We offer many of our utilities as free or shareware CAD tools for download. Recently released or updated CAD utilities:
- CSVlayers creates AutoCAD layers from imported CSV files (Excel)
- PlotDWGarr + LayDWGarr - plots a rectangular array of drawings from the DWG modelspace, or generate a set of layouts
- LOMAN - layout manager - quickly switch between layouts, sort layouts
- 3DPlot - creates parametric math 3D surfaces in AutoCAD
- TRANS uses Bing Translation to translate your drawing texts automatically
- SplitArea - subdivision of a closed area (parcel with an arbitrary shape) to multiple lots by acreage
- DynFrame - frames selected text with dynamic frame (mleader)
- TwittControl - uses ACADtweet to submit AutoCAD commands remotely via your Twitter channel
- ListInspection VBA macro - make a report of all inspection dimensions in your Inventor 2010-2012 drawing
- DTMcol - analyze/color terrain model (3DFACEs) elevations in AutoCAD
- FLayDel - delete all Frozen, Off or Locked layers

300,000 registered users on CADforum.cz
The total number of registered users on the web portal CAD Forum has surpassed 300,000 beginning of March. The Czech-language section (for Czech and Slovak users) has now more than 40.000 registrations, the international English-language section has 260.000 registrations from more than 200 countries and regions. AutoCAD 2013 and other new releases of the 2013 family
Next week, Autodesk will release the new version of AutoCAD - AutoCAD 2013 - plus other products of the 2013 family. New releases will use more of the web cloud services, will better cooperate and easily exchange data - both between the individual applications and inside the Autodesk Design Suites.
The main new features of the AutoCAD 2013 family are:
- New drawing file format DWG2013 with better thumbnails and faster 3D
- An interactive command line (transparent, mouse-controlled)
- Extraction of isolines from 3D surfaces
- Enhanced arrays
- Enhanced hatch editing
- In-canvas preview when editing properties
- Enhanced point clouds (clipping, xref, intensity, context ribbon)
- Strike-through text
- Import of Inventor IPT files
- Enhanced Autodesk Exchange Apps - application marketplace
- Automated synchronization of drawings and settings with Autodesk Cloud
- Enhanced documentation of 3D models - details, sections, associative dimensions...

Autodesk has officially released the new PLM application "Autodesk PLM 360" (codename Nexus 360). This flexible cloud-based PLM system is designed for companies of any size, it's easy to implement and configure (in hours and days), has affordable price tag of 75$ per user and month (no other license costs). Autodesk PLM 360 is the first purely cloud-based PLM system.
